In a second round of lightening presentations we heard two presentations from Dr Dom Henri (University of Hull), Dr Dave Lewis (Leeds University), Dr Noel Carter (University of Sunderland), Dr Alexandra Moores (university of Kent), and our first International presenter Dr Bob Le Suer (Suny Brockport, USA)
Dom presented two projects, one about remote access cameras to conduct field work and the other about using 360 degree cameras for teaching. Dave gave us an update on the lessons learned from running remote capstone projects and the different types of projects people have employed. Next we were engaged in an interactive quiz from Noel, competing within houses against each other. Alex, a winner of the Learning Science Teaching Award spoke about using Learning Science resources to support maths teaching to natural science students and finally Bob presented a series of command prompts that help guide students through their work [DO] [EXPLORE] [ACT].
