#DryLabsRealScience 5

#DryLabsRealScience 5

While I was presenting at Swansea University’s internal Learning and Teaching conference David and Ian hosted the fifth #DryLabsRealScience meeting and attendees heard from Dr Mark Hirst from The Open University discuss the OpemSTEM labs and Dr Louise Robinson from the University of Derby present her work around game based learning.

The OpenSTEM lab looks like an amazing resource with the ability to remotely control pieces of equipment and interact with some really complex pieces of equipment like scanning microscopes…amazing!

Gamified learning is a real interest of mine and so listening to Louise talk was inspiring, with resources ranging from board games to electronic treasure hunts there was something for everyone to try.

The videos of the talks will be on my YouTube channel and linked via the #DLRS page shortly.
