The #DryLabsRealScience network heard from two more projects at the fourth meeting. First up Dave Ruckley, a learning technologist at Swansea University Medical School discussed his experience of setting up an entirely online Masters course from scratch and shared some ideas about setting up assessment as well as some pitfalls to watch out for. All round a great talk and plenty of ideas for attendees to consider over the summer as it looks more and more likely that university education will be a very different experience for the 2020/21 intake.

Second Dr Ian Bailey and his PhD student Ms Dani Knight presented on part of Dani’s project looking at the use of Learning Science simulations to supplement 1st year lab classes at the University of Surrey. A really interesting presentation that highlighted the potential of these simulations to help student learning.

The videos of the talks will be on my YouTube channel and linked via the #DLRS page shortly.
